MENATELECOM OFFERS NEW WIMAX BROADBAND PACKAGES

Customers now have a wider choice of options when they choose to surf the internet, with 2Mbps or 8Mbps Boost packages now available for those who want to enjoy an even faster browsing experience.The high speed broadband access is ideally suited to meet demands of high-bandwidth applications such as watching streaming videos, listening to music, watching live sports, heavy data downloads and online gaming.

Existing WiMAX customers can upgrade simply by calling 07770 and new customers can visit any Menatelecom shop to apply for service or apply and manage their account online.

Menatelecom has recently expanded the number of its outlets to cover the Bahrain World Trade Center, Bahrain Financial Harbour, GOSI Mall, Country Mall - Budaiya, Muharraq, Isa Town and KFH Automall in Sitra.

The outlets are fully equipped with the latest mobile phones and active WiMAX user stations where customers can test the latest subscriber packages offered by Menatelecom.

    UAE-based telecom operator du, has launched a daily data bundle for prepaid customers.

    As an introductory offer, for every third purchase made within 30 days, customers will get 5 minutes of free international calls.

    “We are pleased that the Daily Data Bundle is an accessible data package, which can be used as an introduction to data services or as a quick top-up as and when needed, allowing greater flexibility and even more control over data spend. ” said Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer.

    Huawei’s Mideast revenue up 18pc in 2012

    China’s Huawei Technologies Co’s Middle East revenue rose 18 percent to $2.08 billion in 2012 and the roll-out of 4G mobile networks and IT outsourcing will be among its main regional growth drivers, the firm said.

    The world’s second-largest telecom equipment maker also expects Middle East telecom operators to prioritise improving network efficiency, Shi Yaohong, president of Huawei Middle East, told Reuters in an email.
