OneAccess Simplifies 3G for Managed Services Continuity
14 February 2011, Mobile World Congress, Barcelona: OneAccess, the number 2 branch office router vendor in the world, today launched its One50 3G Multi-Service Access Router (MSAR).
The One50 3G combines 3G failover, ADSL/VDSL and Metro Ethernet interfaces, and high performance routing for sophisticated managed data services on a single platform and at a market-defining price point. The ADSL version with 3G backup is available now.
“We’ve seen huge demand for this product during its development and testing stages, and it’s currently involved in trials with major operators on three continents,” says Betrand Meis, chief executive at OneAccess. “The integration of 3G failover with Metro Ethernet and high-speed broadband on a single, cost-effective router, offers mobile and fixed operators the chance to simplify provisioning, reduce costs, and generate incremental revenue by offering enhanced business continuity.”
The One50 3G is scaled to fit the needs of small and medium-sized businesses as well as the branch offices of large enterprises. It allows operators to concurrently deliver multiple managed data services, leveraging its powerful, symmetrical routing performance, sophisticated IP Quality of Service, in-built firewall and standards-driven IP VPN capability. It comes with an autosensing ADSL+/VDSL interface, 100Mbps optical Ethernet and 3G wide area interfaces as standard. Desktops and servers connect via its integral four port 10/100 BaseT switch. Factory customisation options include wi-fi and ISDN.
Matthias Machowinski, Directing Analyst for Enterprise Voice & Data at Infonetics Research commented, “There is tremendous customer interest in using 3G data services as back-up connections, and in some cases even as primary connections. Operators who are deploying platforms that can support both wired and wireless services can better address customer requirements for greater bandwidth, survivability, and mobility.”
OneAccess is exhibiting at this week’s Mobile World Congress event, at booth #3.1HS20 in Hall 3.1.
