Batelco holds 'ladies bazaar' in Hamala

Bahrainian operator Batelco is holding a bazaar aimed at women to showcase a wide range of goods.

 

The two-day event has been organised by the Batelco Youth Marketing Team. It will remain open on 17 March. There are over 50 exhibition stands displaying clothing, jewellery, handicrafts, home-baked goods and make-up, among other merchandise.     Qatar: Standing out in the telecoms sector

    Qatar's Ooredoo expects revenue to fall in 2015

    DUBAI, March 19 (Reuters) - Qatar's Ooredoo forecasts its revenue will fall by as much as 3 percent in 2015 and core earnings will drop by a similar margin, a presentation by the telecommunications operator on its website shows.

    Ooredoo, which has expanded its operations into about 15 territories in the Middle East, Asia and Africa, is considered among the best-run of the Gulf operators, having avoided the excessive prices which its regional rivals paid to build up foreign portfolios.

    Batelco Group has announced that Batelco Group CEO, Alan Whelan is leaving the group and Ihab Hinnawi, who holds the role of CEO at Batelco’s sister company Umniah, will be appointed as the group’s acting chief executive officer.

    Saudi-based retailer United Electronics Company eXtra, has announced the appointment of Abdulhameed Abdulaziz Al Ohali as the chief executive officer of the company with effect from 10th March 2015.
