STC connects 221 of the Ministry of Health's medical centers with IP-VPN Service

STC has almost completed the last phase of connecting 221 of the Ministry of Health medical centers across the kingdom by connecting them with the latest "IP-VPN" technology, and DIA services for internet connection, and MRS Service for customer device management, all services are supported with Fiber-Optic technology.  

 
The IP-VPN project includes 157 hospitals, 14 medical laboratories, and 50  of the Ministry of Health Medical Centers within the Holy Mashaer in Al-Hajj season,  by connecting them in a unified network, offering them unique features that has upgraded data base security standards, , and supported the speed and easiness of technical communication channels which enhances the quality of operations process between the Ministry of Health entities such as; hospitals, laboratories, and Hajj Medical centers.    

STC is considered a strategic partner for the Ministry of Health offering integrated leadership programs and initiatives that aims to serve the community, most recently Al-WAFA Health initiative that was launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Health aiming to establish 22 Health Centers in different regions across the kingdom. 

In the same context, IP-VPN is one of the most recent services in transmitting data. Its technology depends on IP protocol in safely transmitting data between the customer's network peripherals based on the availability of safe and intermittent networking devices. Through this service, the customer could safely and efficiently transmit all types of (sound, video, Internet and data) applications using the latest technology (MPLS) Besides, IP-VPN supports the various business applications which require the connection of two local networks, data transmission, and conducting VoIP. In addition, it allows the customer to prioritize data transmission and processing according to their significance and the type of applications they represent. It also allows the customer to utilize it in several other applications.
