    BMW says talks with Apple don't involve developing a car

    FRANKFURT, March 5 ( Reuters ) - German carmaker BMW said on Thursday its talks with technology giant Apple did not involve developing or building a car, denying a German magazine report.

    Auto Motor und Sport said in its March 4 edition that the two firms were discussing possibilities for cooperating on the development of a passenger car.

    Saudi Ministry of Education hosts e-learning conference

    Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education's has held its Fourth International Conference on e-learning and Distance Education, bringing together experts in the field to discuss how to improve education.

    The event, which was organised by the Ministry's National Center for e-learning and Distance Learning, and hosted  educators, policy makers and digital developers to showcase the latest developments in e-learning and how these technologies can be used to enhance learning in the Kingdom.

    Apple suffers production delay for large-screen iPads

    Apple's much-anticipated 12.9-inch iPad, sometimes referred to as the iPad Pro, will not go into production until September, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed insiders.

    Apple had initially planned to start manufacturing the larger iPad this quarter, but supply-chain delays with display units have forced the Cupertino-based iMaker to reschedule.

    Sales of Apple's tablets have declined for the past four quarters and productivity-centric iPad is hoped to be the answer to sliding revenues.

    Mohammad announces plans for Museum of the Future

    Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched plans on Wednesday for a new Museum of the Future that will actively produce futuristic inventions and support the UAE’s mission to be a global innovation engine.

    As well as providing a permanent home for the world’s greatest innovations, the museum will work to stimulate and incubate imaginative solutions to the challenges of future cities.

    Yahsat to provide satcomms services to Bahrain

    UAE-based technology firm Al Yah Communications Company, also known as Yahsat, has signed a contract to provide satellite communications services to the Bahrain Defence Force.

    Under the terms of the contract, Yahsat will provide multi-faceted customised services, including hardware, full beam coverage over the Ka-band and training in the use of the technology.

    The Bahrain Defence Force will take delivery later this year, a statement said.

    STC has become the first operator in the Middle East to deploy Ericsson’s Radio Dot System solution.
